The type 17 point drills it's own holes.
The coarse thread give better hold in a
large variety of materials (particle board,
soft woods, hard woods, plywoods, etc.).
Zinc plated to resist rust and staining. The
nibs under the head make for a cleaner
countersink. Drive them in with a #2
square drive bit. If desired, they can be
removed with a Phillips screw driver.
